Ixopo is a town situated on a tributary of the Mkhomazi River along the R56 highway in the midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and forms part of an important sugar farming and forestry area. The rooms at Belz Boutique Hotel are newly built, well-lit, and inviting. Our pool and bar areas have views to some of the most striking landscapes in KwaZulu Natal as described by Alan Paton in his book, Cry the Beloved Country “There is a lovely road which runs from Ixopo into the hills.

These hills are grass-covered and rolling, and they are lovely beyond any singing of it”. Designed to cater to every type of guest, from those staying overnight to those having an extended vacation, our rooms vary in size, whilst still maintaining mutual design themes and elements. A stay in our Belz Deluxe Suite, and even some of our upper floor standard rooms, extends elegance outdoors onto a shared balcony that views the essence of the gorgeous KZN countryside from the moment the sun rises over the hills at dawn to the moment it descends beyond them each evening.
